Cookie Policy

EFFECTIVE: 2026-02-23

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are used to remember preferences, authenticate sessions, and understand usage patterns. We also use similar technologies such as local storage for the same purposes.

2. How We Use Cookies

We categorize cookies into three types: Essential cookies are required for the platform to function (authentication, session management, CSRF protection, consent storage). These cannot be disabled. Analytics cookies collect anonymized usage metrics to help us improve platform performance. No personally identifiable information is collected. Marketing cookies enable us to send relevant product updates and security advisories if you have opted in.

3. Essential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the operation of the platform. They enable core functionality such as authentication, session persistence, and security protections. Under GDPR and the Egyptian PDPL, explicit consent is not required for essential cookies as they are necessary for the service you requested.

4. Optional Cookies

Analytics and marketing cookies are only set after you provide explicit consent via our cookie banner. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the site footer. If you withdraw consent, we will stop setting optional cookies on subsequent page loads, though previously set cookies may persist until they expire or you clear them manually.

5. Third-Party Cookies

We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. Authentication is managed through Supabase (first-party cookies). We do not share cookie data with advertising networks or data brokers.

6. Managing Cookies

Most browsers allow you to manage cookie preferences through their settings. You can delete existing cookies and configure your browser to block cookies entirely. Blocking essential cookies will prevent the platform from functioning correctly. For detailed instructions, consult your browser's help documentation.

7. Data Residency

All cookie-related data and session information is processed on servers located in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). Duckurity is headquartered in Cairo, Egypt. Cross-border data transfers between Egypt and the EU are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, legislation, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated via the cookie consent banner and platform notification.
